Credits & billing

Pay only for what you create — no subscription.

How credits work

Credits are gramatic’s currency. Each model has a fixed credit cost per image, shown in the studio before you generate and listed on the Models page. The lifecycle of a generation is:

  1. Hold— when you submit, the model’s cost is held against your balance so it can’t be double-spent.
  2. Charge — when the generation succeeds, the held credits are spent.
  3. Release — if the generation fails or is cancelled, the hold is released and you pay nothing.

Failed generations are free

You’re only ever charged for images that succeed. A failed run never costs credits.

Topping up

Buy credits from the billing page. Choose a top-up amount (in GBP) and pay securely with a card — payments are processed by Stripe, and gramatic never sees your card details. Credits land on your balance as soon as the payment clears.

Credits don’t expire and there’s no recurring charge — top up whenever you’re running low. See pricing for current rates.

The activity ledger

The billing page shows your current balance, any credits currently held by in-flight generations, and a full ledger of activity — every top-up, hold, charge, and release. Use it to reconcile what you’ve spent and on which generations.

Refunds

Because failed generations are never charged, you only pay for successful images. Unused credits may be refundable under the terms set out in the refund policy. If something looks wrong on your balance, contact support.
